Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transactional Expertise: Exhibit exceptional skill in managing a variety of commercial real estate transactions, particularly large loan financing. This includes drafting and negotiating loan agreements, purchase and sale contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Title and Survey Analysis: Perform detailed title examinations and survey evaluations to identify potential issues or risks associated with real estate properties. Provide strategic counsel to clients based on your findings.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence investigations on real estate properties and related assets to ensure compliance with legal standards and identify any liabilities.
  • Client Counseling: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their goals, offering strategic legal advice to facilitate their commercial real estate endeavors.
  • Transaction Oversight: Manage the complete lifecycle of real estate transactions, from negotiation through to closure, ensuring all requirements are fulfilled.
  • Research and Analysis: Stay informed about laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to commercial real estate financing and title and survey issues. Conduct legal research to provide innovative solutions to legal challenges.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior associates and support staff, contributing to their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside other practice groups in finance, tax, and corporate law to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients with diverse needs.
  • Client Development: Participate in business development initiatives such as client presentations, networking events, and industry conferences to expand the firm's client base and cultivate enduring relationships.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • State bar admission in good standing.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate law, focusing on large loan financing and title and survey work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex real estate transactions and providing innovative legal solutions.
  • Strong understanding of real estate financing mechanisms, including debt and equity structures.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
