Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Proficiency:
Exhibit outstanding skills in managing a diverse array of commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on large loan financing, including the drafting and negotiation of loan agreements, purchase contracts, and related documents.
Title and Survey Analysis:
Execute thorough title examinations and survey assessments to pinpoint potential issues or risks associated with real estate assets. Offer strategic guidance and counsel to clients based on your findings.
Due Diligence:
Perform comprehensive due diligence on real estate properties and related assets to ensure adherence to legal standards and identify any possible liabilities.
Client Advisory:
Work closely with clients to comprehend their objectives, providing strategic and business-oriented legal counsel to support their commercial real estate initiatives.
Transaction Oversight:
Manage the complete lifecycle of real estate transactions, from initial negotiations to closing, ensuring compliance with all deadlines and requirements.
Research and Insights:
Keep abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments related to commercial real estate financing and title and survey issues. Conduct legal research and analysis to deliver innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.
Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to junior associates and staff, contributing to their professional growth and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Collaboration:
Partner with other practice areas within the firm, such as finance, tax, and corporate law, to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients with varied needs.
Business Development:
Actively engage in business development initiatives, including client presentations, networking opportunities, and industry events to broaden the firm's client base and nurture enduring relationships.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate law, focusing on large loan financing and title and survey matters.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex real estate transactions and providing innovative legal solutions.Strong grasp of real estate financing structures, including debt and equity.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.
Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and exceeding client expectations.
