KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Front End Operations:
Deliver an outstanding customer experience by fostering and enhancing relationships with patrons. Implement skills acquired through training to exemplify exemplary service in the store.
Conduct sales and cash transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, which includes scanning items, weighing products, and resolving scanning issues. Ensure all barcodes are correctly registered in the system and communicate any inconsistencies to the designated team leader.
Oversee the transfer of products at checkout, ensuring thorough inspections for any tampering.
Verify purchases against cart contents as customers exit the store.
Manage opening and closing procedures at the front end as per shift assignments.
Sales Floor and Inventory Management:
Maintain a strong focus on boosting sales while minimizing losses. Assist customers in locating desired products and inform them of additional services offered.
Help in receiving inventory and organizing shelves systematically, ensuring proper stock rotation and quality checks. Report low inventory levels to management.
Ensure all products are correctly labeled, including tagging unscannable items and applying appropriate labels for bulk products.
Restock sales floor daily by moving inventory from storage, adhering to the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
Utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, along with proprietary software as necessary.
Ensure merchandise is accessible, visually appealing, and consistently available.
Assist with pricing updates as directed by management.
Participate in inventory counts as required.
Customer Engagement:
Ensure the store environment is safe and well-maintained by adhering to safety protocols. Report any safety concerns to management and address them when possible.
Maintain cleanliness across the sales floor, front end, and restrooms, utilizing cleaning tools as needed.
Ensure the parking lot and entryway are tidy and welcoming.
Collect shopping carts from the parking area and ensure they are clean and functional.
In addition to the aforementioned duties, you may be assigned other responsibilities as required by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is conducted in a retail setting open to the public, with exposure to varying weather conditions. The noise level is typically moderate, and tasks may require the use of ladders or elevated surfaces. Temperature ranges from -10 to 85 degrees. Interaction with customers is a regular part of the role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
6-12 months of experience in retail cashiering or stocking is required.
At least one year of experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
