About the Role:

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Authority to join its exceptional Commissioning Team. As a Commissioning Authority, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning of high-quality projects, including LEED Cx, Title 24 Cx, retro-commissioning, energy studies, measurement and verification, ongoing commissioning, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field functional testing to verify system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement pre-functional and functional checklists to ensure comprehensive testing and commissioning.
  • Lead commissioning meetings and manage the commissioning process for assigned projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Perform field observations to identify potential issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Document test results and issue resolution logs to maintain a record of commissioning activities.
  • Engage in project management tasks, including coordination with stakeholders and team members.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, Commissioning, Energy Management, or TAB certifications preferred.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in commissioning, energy management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of MEP system design and controls, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Project management skills, including coordination with stakeholders and team members.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel and work on-site, with a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with commissioning software, including tools and technologies used in the commissioning process.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and/or controls systems, including design and operation.
  • Experience in mission-critical or life science environments, including hospitals, data centers, and other critical facilities.
  • Electrical background, including design and operation of electrical systems.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
