Position Summary:
We are seeking a High Voltage Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves significant travel and is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing technical field assignments related to high voltage equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the installation and maintenance of high voltage power distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct field tests and inspections, including SF6 leak detection and gas analysis, while meticulously documenting findings and recommending necessary repairs.
  • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of contractors and electricians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and logs, analyzing data to inform decision-making and reporting.
  • Anticipate approximately 80% travel, primarily within a manageable distance from your home base.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred; however, substantial hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with high voltage systems ranging from 40kV to 550kV.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the installation, testing, and commissioning of high voltage equipment.
  • Proven leadership experience within power utility environments.
  • Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and utilize testing equipment effectively.
  • Must possess valid work authorization for employment in the United States.
