Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Member & Chapter Services Coordinator to join our team at the American Society of Landscape Architects. This is a hybrid position with 2 days in our DC office, offering flexible work-from-home options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, subscribers, and volunteers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the production of membership and Landscape Architecture Magazine renewal notices, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Research and resolve membership-related inquiries, providing information on ASLA membership, renewals, and subscriptions.
  • Collate and format new member and member milestones data for acknowledgement in the member newsletter.
  • Maintain volunteer leader information in our Association Management System and update annually.
  • Process paper membership applications, renewals, subscriptions, and product orders according to ASLA database standards.
  • Support data consistency in our Association Management System.
  • Administer MCSD Basecamp groups and coordinate chapter leadership visits by providing required data to the Executive Office.
  • Staff the registration area during the ASLA annual conference, managing member recognition ribbons.
  • Provide high-quality service to members and customers via email, phone, mail, and text.
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Support ASLA membership team members with data entry and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Educate members and prospects on the benefits and value of ASLA membership.
  • Uphold the values and culture of ASLA.
Requirements
  • 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or association.
  • Associates or BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Strong skills using Excel to manage data and information in spreadsheets.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent customer service, data entry, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with databases, data entry, and reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a workflow with interruptions and multiple projects.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Strong technology skills, including Microsoft Office, MailChimp, and Survey Monkey.
  • Experience with Impexium a plus.
