Senior Labor Liaison Officer

About the Role
Cook County is a dynamic organization that provides a range of vital services and programs to enhance the quality of life for residents across the region. As a Labor Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the County's labor relations efforts, working closely with union representatives, management, and other stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Senior Labor Liaison Officer in conducting research and analysis related to contract negotiations, collective bargaining, and labor relations.
- Assist in the development of negotiation strategies and proposals, and participate in negotiation sessions as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of labor agreements, contracts, and grievances.
- Collaborate with the Labor Counsel, Assistant State's Attorneys, and other entities to address labor-related issues and concerns.
- Support the implementation of wage scales, benefits, and other labor-related programs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with union representatives, management, and other stakeholders to ensure successful labor relations outcomes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of labor laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Estimated Salary:$ 85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
