Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, including patient registration, scheduling, and data entry.
  • Assist with patient exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
  • Collect and process lab specimens, perform phlebotomy, and conduct point-of-care testing as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information and instructions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to a culture of excellence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or of a postsecondary medical assisting program accredited to prepare the medical assistant to take national AAMA (American Association of Medical Assisting), CCMA (National Health Career Association), or RMA (American Medical Technologists) medical assistant certification exam.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, with AAMA (American Association of Medical Assisting) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
