Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Torrance. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue across our product lines, market areas, and channel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales bookings growth across product lines, market areas, and channel.
  • Manage a team of manufacturer's representation network to develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain business relations with all customers, deploying strategic account alignment processes to identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
  • Collect and report information on competitive activity, business opportunities, sales trends, and results within the assigned region.
  • Participate in sales activities, including customer site visits, trade seminars, product demonstrations, and customer seminars.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, account growth, new business acquisition, and customer loyalty.
  • Prepare and present monthly funnel reviews to demonstrate the quality of the funnel, activity plans, and command of the account base.
  • Document, track, and report progress to management, weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Enable sales representatives to promote product lines via training and the development of collateral materials.
  • Manage special price requests.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, with eight years of related experience.
  • Strong MS Office and Salesforce software skills.
  • Industry knowledge and business acumen in military sales.
  • Proven track record of success developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Experience working within an S&OP business process framework.
  • Able to present sales/business strategies to all levels of management in clear and concise manner.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams to facilitate sales.
  • Experience in contract analysis and management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relations with internal and external groups.
  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities.
  • Self-starter, able to execute without minimum supervision, and has the ability to challenge assumptions and communicate vision and purpose.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and challenging targeting.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
  • Has a track record of growing sales and minimizing price erosion.
  • Experience selling at multiple levels within customer organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
