At Liberty Mutual, we collaborate with both retail and wholesale agents and brokers, and our wholesale-focused Ironshore brand operates within the US wholesale market.

Ironshore is seeking to hire a Branch Manager whose territory will encompass the Eastern US.

This individual will engage with key brokers to represent the Global Risk Solutions (GRS) brand and all business segments involved in the wholesale market.

Furthermore, they will collaborate with internal leadership from all segments across GRS to enhance communication and partnership in how GRS approaches the market and facilitates ease of doing business for broker partners.

Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly understand both the underwriting appetite and business strategy of all facets of GRS and effectively communicate and support in the marketplace.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with both growing and core brokers in your assigned region to drive profitable growth.
  • Lead all aspects of development for broker-facing/client-facing marketing communication and strategic plans, including communications and events.
  • Structure and spearhead cross-sell initiatives that align with regional growth plans and market opportunities.
  • Prospect and cultivate new broker relationships, identifying new areas of opportunity.
  • Align with overall GRS strategy, collaborating with peers, business, and the Regional Distribution Executive to develop strategies that support GWP, new business, submission, and retention targets.
  • Drive internal collaboration, fostering an environment focused on shared GRS success.
  • Maintain close relations with business leaders and the underwriting organization, ensuring clear communication channels to guarantee alignment and keep executive management informed of areas of concern and/or opportunity.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Insurance Industry.
  • Strong relationships with senior leadership at key brokerages.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product offerings and relationships with profit center leadership.
  • Business development/sales skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Interpersonal/social skills to foster trusted relationships.
  • People management skills to nurture professional growth and foster team effectiveness.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Travel required (~25%, varies by region).
