Job Summary

The Environmental Services Supervisor is a key position at Children's National Hospital, responsible for maintaining a safe, sanitary, and clean environment for all patients, visitors, and employees. This role involves organizing, supervising, and controlling operations of the Environmental Services Department to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to support staff and direct reports, ensuring a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Operations Management: Direct overall operational functions for assigned areas, creating a practice environment where employees progressively internalize and demonstrate customer-focused care.
  • Administrative Management: Evaluate EVS operations for continued improvement of efficiency, recommending and developing new processes and systems to meet departmental needs.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical advice and consultation regarding environmental services to all CNMC organizations, furnishing technical assistance to the Director, Managers, and other personnel.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of experience in environmental services, with a focus on acute care healthcare settings and previous housekeeping and management/supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Knowledge of applicable legal, regulatory, and policy requirements, understanding of infection control, excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills, ability to coach and develop others, and effective administration of hospital policies and procedures.

Salary Range:

$48,214.40 - $80,350.40 per year.
