Job Summary

Environmental Service Systems, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the coordination and supervision of Project managers and individual sites. The successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality service, while maintaining a timely and budget-friendly approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and develop hourly team members to ensure optimal performance
  • Champion the company's strategic principles, core values, and people culture
  • Recruit and hire employees to meet contract specifications, ensuring proper staffing and account management
  • Assign duties and tasks to employees, inspecting work for cleanliness and completion
  • Determine work procedures and prepare schedules to maintain labor budgets
  • Conduct new hire orientation, safety training, and job training to ensure efficient and safe task performance
  • Prepare and review required paperwork, including time sheets, accident reports, and employee training records
  • Establish open communication by resolving employee relations problems, coaching, and counseling employees for success
  • Build relationships with customers through regular account visits, ensuring high-quality service
  • Resolve problems and complaints in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Document customer contacts and concerns, following through to resolve issues
  • Monitor assigned accounts for work order opportunities and additional work to add to contracts
  • Ensure mandatory Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded
Requirements
  • Business-level English proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Two to three years of management experience in a related field, with janitorial industry experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments
  • Customer service and satisfaction mindset
  • High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership effectiveness, ability to motivate, train, and develop team members
  • Carpet care and cleaning knowledge, floor care chemicals, and operation of floor care equipment
  • Thoroughness, dependability, tact, and courtesy, with the ability to work in a team environment and use good judgment
  • Effective communication with customers, both internal and external
  • Organized, proven problem-solving abilities, and ability to multitask, prioritize job responsibilities
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Physical Demands

This job may require lifting objects up to 50lbs, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25lbs. Other physical demands include reaching, climbing, stooping, and kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, writing, and seeing.

Licenses and Certifications

A valid state driver's license is required to fulfill the duties of this position, as significant travel between accounts is necessary. Reliable transportation is also required to allow for necessary travel to various accounts within the assigned territory.
