Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial planning processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Strategy and Risk Management: Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, including assessing financial risks, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, and optimizing cost structures.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic budgets and monitor adherence to approved budgets.
  • Cash Flow Management and Treasury: Monitor and manage the league's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability and meet operational needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the sports industry or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a high-performing team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
