The International Rescue Committee is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with our Cultural Orientation Program in Dallas. As a Cultural Orientation Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the resettlement process for refugees in the Dallas area.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in scheduling families for cultural orientation sessions
- Coordinate with translation services to ensure effective communication
- Present cultural orientation sessions to groups of clients
- Write case notes and assist with supporting tasks
- Gain insight into the resettlement process and develop skills in international relations and nonprofit work
- Work at least 15 hours per week during the 8:30 am - 4:30 pm work week
- Attend the office 2-3 days per week
- Be willing to transport clients to the office when needed
