Federal Work Study Assistant at Dallas College

Federal work study is a program that provides funds to students who apply for federal financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). As a federal work study assistant at Dallas College, you will have the opportunity to earn money through part-time employment to help pay for your educational expenses. This type of job is relevant to your course of study and can be on campus or off campus.
Responsibilities
As a federal work study assistant, your responsibilities may include:
- Working as an office assistant, assistant technician, lab assistant, or aide to instructors/deans
- Performing tasks that are relevant to your course of study
- Working on campus or off campus for a private non-profit organization or public agency
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be an undergraduate student awarded federal work study funds in your financial aid package
- Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress standards set by Dallas College
- Be enrolled and certified in at least six hours (half time) for Fall and Spring
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
- Have transportation to off-campus worksites
