Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substitute Teacher to join our team at ChildCareGroup. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children, while also supporting the development of our educational programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Assist in planning, preparation, and implementation of educational programs for children, based on their developmental level and needs.
  • Classroom Management: Assume responsibility for daily classroom programs in the absence of the regular teacher, and maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with children, families, and staff, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our electronic information system, and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with staff, families, and other stakeholders, and work collaboratively to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum 6 months of experience working with young children, with a preference for one year or more.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to work as a team member, good organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, parents, and center volunteers.
  • Physical Demands: Normal physical effort with minimal lifting requirements of items weighing less than 50 pounds, visual attention, and manual dexterity/coordination.
