Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with general kitchen tasks, including food preparation and serving
  • Cook and prepare meals according to the menu, maintaining high standards of quality and safety
  • Ensure portion control and maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Follow safety guidelines when operating equipment and adhere to industry standard guidelines for food safety and sanitation
  • Process cash transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to maintain good customer relationships
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for diploma preference
  • Experience in school food service or food service required
  • Possess current Food Handler Permit or ability to obtain within the first 20 days of hire
  • Ability to understand food preparation and safety instructions, knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
Working Conditions

The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment requires proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen and standing, and noise levels from moderate to high.
