About the Role:

The Professional Education Training Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing training programs for Boston Scientific's products, therapies, and services. This position will be responsible for coordinating and executing training initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and measurable sales training programs.

This role will also involve educating and training physicians and healthcare professionals on Boston Scientific's therapies and products, as well as certifying field support staff through comprehensive training programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and training, with experience in medical devices and/or healthcare sales. They will be able to travel up to 50% and reside in the lower Midwest, with easy access to a major airport.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and coordination of core content covering product knowledge, key clinical data, and surgical techniques.
  • Partner with Marketing, Reimbursement, and other cross-functional groups to support the launch of new products and sales tools.
  • Execute and deliver procedural training to physicians and medical staff in support of clinical trial site initiation and qualification.
  • Attend case coverage and technical support for clinical sites requiring supplemental training or education.
  • Interact with customers and employees to identify unmet education needs and design and implement new learning programs.
  • Develop and coordinate core content covering product knowledge, key clinical data, surgical techniques, reimbursement, and relevant selling information.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Reimbursement, Clinical, and Regulatory to coordinate classes, make travel arrangements, and identify and contact physician faculty.
  • Attend critical industry conferences to maintain clinical and competitive knowledge.
  • Work and travel with field sales representatives in a training capacity, with an emphasis on developing core competencies of new hires.
  • Mentor and provide evaluations of field trainers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of experience in an education or training role in medical devices, pharma, or healthcare.
  • Experience in minimally invasive spine procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, CT, or MRI is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical device and/or healthcare sales is preferred.
  • Able to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Able to work in a high-paced, changing environment and interface effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in cadaveric training is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to visualize and translate 2-dimensional fluoroscopic images into anatomical 3-dimensional spaces.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Cross-functional team experience.
  • Customer relationship and budget management.
  • Able to build strong rapport and relate well to physicians, surgeons, and key opinion leaders.
