RN - Medical/Surgical Progressive Care Specialist (KSMC / 24 Hr / Nights)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical/Surgical Progressive Care unit at Kaiser Permanente. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning.
- Provide education to patients and their families on health management and self-care techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Participate in unit quality assurance activities to continuously improve patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with 1 year of current telemetry inpatient experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous healthcare experience.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- 1 year current experience in progressive or intermediate care unit.
- Recent experience with respiratory compromised patients.
- PCCN / CCRN Certification.
