Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our Medical Surgical Progressive Care unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Under the guidance of our experienced team, you will utilize your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct thorough multi-system assessments, identifying deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests and reassessing patients throughout their hospital stay.
  • Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care, taking into account the developmental needs of each patient and coordinating care activities with other hospital departments and community agencies.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and surgical patients, accurately documenting care in the EMR and utilizing a multidisciplinary approach when necessary.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plans of care, and patient responses to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience and 1 year of current telemetry inpatient experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided.
  • Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience and Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
  • 1 year of current experience in progressive or intermediate care unit and recent experience with respiratory compromised patients.
  • Recent attendance of Rhythm Recognition class or passing grade on Rhythm Recognition test and PCCN/CCRN Certification.

  • Variable working days and 12-HS-SUN schedule.
