Position Overview:
At Nightwing, our mission is to leverage our extensive expertise to support national security and safeguard freedoms. We are seeking a dedicated Material Program Manager to play a pivotal role within our Electronic Warfare Systems Division. This position involves collaborating with a classified Supply Chain Integrated Product Team to ensure the effective management of one or more projects in the electronic warfare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and managing material-related risks and opportunities, providing updates at both customer and program levels.
- Formulating and implementing supply chain strategies and plans.
- Developing and overseeing the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and the Material Program Plan (MPP).
- Ensuring comprehensive Supply Chain support for all project phases and maintaining compliance.
- Taking ownership of the supplier management process, which includes performance metrics, strategic agreements, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Leading supply chain proposal activities, including task descriptions and basis of estimates.
- Creating and executing risk and opportunity plans to align with program objectives.
- Identifying opportunities for small business engagement.
- Monitoring and proactively addressing performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Managing budgets, sales forecasts, and annual operating plans.
- Acting as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for material.
- Implementing Supplier Management Best Practices to enhance supplier performance.
- Utilizing PRISM/SAP for effective management.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least five years of experience.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supplier and subcontract management.
- Knowledge of supply chain systems, procurement, and cost estimating.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into supplier expectations.
- Experience in material pricing and proposal development.
- Skills in managing technical requirements within budget and schedule constraints.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
