Receptionist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Covenant Living Communities. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, staff, and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all telephone calls in a polite and friendly manner, transferring calls as needed and taking messages when individuals are unavailable.
  • Monitor the emergency system, direct staff to emergent situations, and call emergency personnel as necessary.
  • Provide information to visitors, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff member and that all visitors/contractors sign in and wear appropriate badges.
  • Keep the reception desk and lobby clean and organized, facilitating transportation requests and coordinating with staff and residents.
  • Assist residents with signing up for programs and activities, collecting payment, and selling postage stamps.
  • Facilitate maintenance requests, inputting requests into the system and communicating with staff as needed.
  • Complete monthly charge sheets in accordance with procedure and support other departments with clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • One year of secretarial training or clerical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Pleasant personality and telephone voice.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
