POSITION SUMMARY
We are in search of a Head of Athletic Performance and Wellness for our Soccer Operations department. This individual will take charge of the strategic and operational oversight of medical services, physical performance, nutrition, psychological support, and sports science across the organization, ensuring exceptional service levels and a competitive edge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement processes, protocols, and initiatives that promote elite physical capabilities, minimize injury rates, and foster cultural growth alongside mental resilience.
  • Provide guidance on delivering outstanding team services in all medical-related areas.
  • Establish performance services that incorporate best practices, protocols, and consistency in execution.
  • Manage interdisciplinary projects that require the integration of data from analytics, medicine, and sports science.
  • Oversee the establishment and management of medical and high-performance facilities, as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication among various departments (e.g., coaching, performance, and administrative teams).
  • Lead efforts to continuously enhance the high-performance environment (e.g., facilities, workspaces, and equipment).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in elite performance settings.
  • Master's degree or higher in exercise science, sports medicine, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in managing travel logistics across various time zones and climates.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain inter-departmental relationships within soccer operations.
  • Experience in managing external partnerships as required.
  • Proven track record in managing and excelling in the graduated return to performance.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (additional language skills such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French are advantageous).

Compensation: Base pay is one component of the overall compensation package and is determined within a specified range. The anticipated base pay range for this role is $125,000+, with actual pay depending on skills, qualifications, experience, location, and other organizational needs.
