Head Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Lifeguard to join our team at Loudoun County Government. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of participants and facility users of all ages and backgrounds.

• Maintain the operation of pools and manage pool water conditions.
• Monitor safe use of pools by conducting regular patrols.
• Recruit and train staff to ensure a high level of aquatic safety.
• Schedule aquatics programs and activities to meet the needs of our diverse population.
• Set up pools for varied programs and use, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
• Perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with one year of aquatics experience, including programming, facility management, and working with the public.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques, basic first aid, swimming, and pool equipment operation.
