Career Advancement Opportunities - Bookkeeping experience Required
This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Responsibilities:- Manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments and returns.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Regularly review and follow up on outstanding receivables, including contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and determining reasons for non-payment.
- Perform collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies.
- Conduct day-to-day accounting tasks, including complex general ledger entries, account reconciliation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with the rest of the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and industry regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the finance industry.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Demonstrated experience in collections, with a strong emphasis on customer service and negotiation skills.
- Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
- Proven track record of effectively meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
