Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all financial transactions, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets.
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports, and assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments and returns.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Regularly review and follow up on outstanding receivables, including contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and determining reasons for non-payment.
  • Perform collection activities, such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies.
  • Conduct day-to-day accounting tasks, including complex general ledger entries, account reconciliation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Demonstrated experience in collections, with a strong emphasis on customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Proven track record of effectively meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
