Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

At MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients, making a profound impact on their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. This includes educating patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions, and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.
Imaging Procedures:
Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
Radiopharmaceuticals:
Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
Data Analysis:
Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
Compliance:
Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Education and Qualifications:
Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) is required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field is also necessary. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
