The Nuclear Medicine PET Imaging Specialist is a critical member of our imaging center team, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine and PET imaging, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic imaging procedures using PET/CT equipment.
- Verify scan orders and ensure accuracy and completeness of patient data.
- Process and analyze images, identifying any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification.
- Current ACLS or BCLS certification.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
- Experience with GE PET/CT camera.
- CT experience.
- Excellent judgment and dependability.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- High ethical standards.
- Detail-oriented and mechanically able.
The Nuclear Medicine PET Imaging Specialist will work in a fast-paced imaging center environment, exposed to environmental risks of radiation and biohazard exposure. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in this setting, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
