Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine PET Imaging Specialist is a critical member of our imaging center team, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong foundation in nuclear medicine and PET imaging, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic imaging procedures using PET/CT equipment.
  • Verify scan orders and ensure accuracy and completeness of patient data.
  • Process and analyze images, identifying any issues or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification.
  • Current ACLS or BCLS certification.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GE PET/CT camera.
  • CT experience.

Work Environment

The Nuclear Medicine PET Imaging Specialist will work in a fast-paced imaging center environment, exposed to environmental risks of radiation and biohazard exposure. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in this setting, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
