Restaurant General Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The Restaurant General Manager is a key leadership position at Ampler Chicken, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant locations. As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a world-class guest experience, managing and training a team of restaurant staff, and driving sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates a World Class Guest Experience:
    • Develops and implements strategies to exceed guest expectations and build a loyal customer base.
    • Ensures that all restaurant areas, including dining, drive-thru, and restrooms, are clean and well-maintained.
    • Trains staff on guest service standards and ensures that all staff members are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Manages, Trains and Directs the Restaurant Team:
    • Recruits, interviews, and hires restaurant staff in accordance with company selection and interview processes.
    • Provides ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure that staff members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
    • Coaches and develops staff members to achieve their full potential and advance in their careers.
  • Delivers Exceptional Brand Standards, Cleanliness and Safety:
    • Ensures that all restaurant areas meet or exceed company standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality.
    • Conducts regular facility walks to identify areas for improvement and ensures that all issues are addressed promptly.
    • Develops and implements strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Attains Sales Budgets:
    • Develops and implements sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales budgets.
    • Analyzes sales data and identifies opportunities to improve sales performance.
    • Works with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns that drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Manages Operational Execution and Expense Control:
    • Develops and implements strategies to control labor costs, food costs, and other expenses.
    • Analyzes financial data and identifies opportunities to improve profitability.
    • Works with the finance team to develop and implement financial plans and budgets.
  • Manages All Restaurant Inventory:
    • Develops and implements strategies to manage inventory levels and reduce waste.
    • Analyzes inventory data and identifies opportunities to improve inventory management.
    • Works with the supply chain team to develop and implement inventory management systems.
  • Performs Other Duties as Assigned:
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Market Leader or other senior management.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and/or Passion of the Restaurant Business:
    • Knowledge of the restaurant business, including menu items, preparation requirements, service and order accuracy expectations, sales promotion approaches, and other major restaurant functions.
  • Basic PC Skills:
    • Basic PC skills, including use of email, typing skills, and other basic computer applications.
  • Knowledge of and Prior Exposure to Labor Cost Reporting, Operating Statements and Other Business Related Reporting:
    • Knowledge of labor cost reporting, operating statements, and other business-related reporting.
  • Integrity:
    • Pass a background check and have a record clear of past felony convictions.
  • Must be Eligible to Work in the United States:
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must Possess a Valid Driver's License and Vehicle with Proof of Insurance:
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle with proof of insurance.
