Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for the reporting segment, including revenue and expense projections.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders, including variance analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, operations, and actuarial departments, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, with a preference for accounting certification such as CPA.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, within the reinsurance industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft: Understanding of PeopleSoft queries and reporting tools to extract and analyze financial data effectively.
- SQL for Sub-Ledger Analysis: Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from sub-ledgers, databases, or data warehouses, with knowledge of creating SQL queries for financial analysis, reconciliations, and data integrity.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities, including Power Query, to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, with strong knowledge of pivot tables, data visualization, and spreadsheet modeling techniques.
