Requirements
  • Master's Degree in School Counseling: Possess a Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
  • Counseling License or Certification: Hold a valid counseling license or certification.
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrate proven experience working as a school counselor, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural setting.
  • Understanding of Child Development: Possess a deep understanding of child and adolescent development, as well as the impact of cultural diversity on students' well-being.
  • Evidence-Based Techniques: Have knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques and strategies for addressing various academic, social, and emotional issues.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff members.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Empathy and Non-Judgmental Support: Provide empathy, passion, and non-judgmental support to students.
  • Familiarity with Educational Systems: Have familiarity with educational systems and community resources available to support students' needs.
  • Adherence to Professional Ethics: Adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Technology: Possess proficiency in using technology and counseling software.
