Key Responsibilities- Financial Operations: Work closely with project teams and owner representatives to process invoices, payables, and billings, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and owner contracts.
- Problem Identification and Communication: Timely identify and communicate problems or issues to the Project Manager, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing delays.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with project teams to identify, document, and implement best practices processes and procedures, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Accounting System Management: Input subcontracts, change orders, owner budgets, and vendor invoices/subcontract payments into our enterprise accounting system.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Process vendor invoices/subcontract payments, collect lien releases, and maintain preliminary lien information and subcontractor insurance details.
- Project Close-Out: Work with project teams to ensure timely project close-out, including solicitation of final releases and maintenance of job accounting files.
- Accounts Receivable: Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely payment and resolution of any issues.
- Experience: 3-5 years of construction accounting experience, with a strong understanding of construction-based accounting software applications.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Viewpoint and/or CMIC software, with experience in multiple construction-based accounting software applications.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent English communication and telephone skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, owner representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Discretion and Confidentiality: Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when managing bill rates and sensitive financial information.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Flexibility: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and reliable approach to meeting deadlines and delivering results.
