Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is between $110,700 and $170,556, depending on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

We are seeking multiple Component Engineers to engage in the design and verification of weapon components. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and updating documentation for Product Realization Teams (PRTs), including project and qualification plans.
  • Developing engineering requirements and conceptual designs, while conducting assessments of mechanical components and systems.
  • Overseeing the detailed design process, component fabrication, and assembly.
  • Preparing safety and engineering documentation and participating in design reviews.
  • Conducting engineering tests, analyzing results, and compiling technical reports.
  • Addressing producibility and manufacturability challenges.
  • Participating in both formal and informal design reviews and program assessments.

Advanced Responsibilities (SES.2 Level)

  • Providing expert engineering knowledge to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Independently executing tasks to devise solutions for a range of issues.
  • Coordinating engineering testing and data analysis, along with preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Mentoring less-experienced team members.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with engineering drawings and requirements development.
  • Familiarity with engineering testing processes and data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in product development processes, including requirements management and manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control practices.
