Position Overview:

The Regional Support Specialist is a pivotal role within ElderChoice Inc., designed to provide essential assistance to our Direct Care Staff in the field. This part-time position is structured to start at 10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours through direct care services.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Regional Support Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Offering support and oversight to Direct Care Staff during home visits.
  • Monitoring patient environments to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Verifying that all necessary documentation is complete and accessible.
  • Ensuring that Direct Care Staff adhere to professional standards, including dress code and identification protocols.
  • Communicating effectively with the Direct Care Management team to ensure the implementation of care plans.
  • Conducting on-site visits to provide guidance and address any concerns.
  • Delivering essential materials such as personal protective equipment and care plans to patient homes as needed.
  • Assisting with scheduling needs for both patients and Direct Care Staff.
  • Maintaining accurate and real-time scheduling for staff and patients.
  • Documenting all communications and follow-ups with patients and families to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Certification as a Personal Care Aide by the NYS Department of Health or Department of Education, or completion of Alternative Competency Demonstration testing.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Successful completion of all required background checks and physical assessments.

Compensation:
The starting pay for this position is $19 per hour, with benefits that include earned paid time off, performance-based raises, 401K options, health insurance, and additional voluntary benefits for eligible employees.
