Job Summary

ICF International Inc is seeking a Health Specialist to serve as a liaison between the Regional and Central Office of Head Start (OHS) and the National Center on Health and Wellness. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise, strategies, and resources to Regional Office and Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) staff on comprehensive health services, including mental health and environmental health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-person or virtual support to Regional Office and TTA staff on comprehensive health services.
  • Serve as a liaison between OHS, the National Center on Health and Wellness, and other relevant agencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for connecting with grantee health managers and/or coordinators in the Region.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and disseminate regional and grantee health data from existing government systems.
  • Develop and provide presentations and training on topics related to early childhood health, mental health, safety, and other related topics.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, maternal and child health, health administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years' experience related to health services in early childhood programs, such as Head Start/Early Head Start, maternal and child health, school health, or community health programs.
  • Experience analyzing health-related data and providing training and technical assistance on health services for children birth to five.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Knowledge of Head Start performance standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience working within a Head Start program.
Professional Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience using virtual platforms and technologies, such as Skype, Zoom, Adobe, and Teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
