Job Summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional OnSite Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our OnSite operations team, you will be responsible for providing clinical surgical support, leading on-the-job training and education activities, and coordinating daily operations with OnSite leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical surgical support by managing all relevant equipment and ensuring effective execution of account-specific contracted scopes of work.
  • Lead timely and effective on-the-job training and onboarding activities for OnSite Specialists, providing education on multiple products, processes, and complex situations.
  • Coordinate daily operations with OnSite leaders to ensure effective execution and assessments of staffing and training.
  • Remain available to fill anticipated or unplanned staffing gaps and provide support to OnSite Specialists as needed.
  • Anticipate related device needs of the OR staff and surgeon during surgical procedures and coach OnSite Specialists on the importance of anticipating customer needs.
  • Provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current minimally invasive surgical products.
  • Ensure effective surgical care to patients as related to third-party and Stryker Endoscopy equipment.
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of a broad variety of minimally invasive Stryker and third-party surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker Endoscopy equipment.
  • Accurately record and report data metrics related to all specific job functions daily.
  • Communicate updates on account information to ensure continuous high levels of service.
  • Drive adherence with team members to ensure compliance of appropriate regulations, policies, and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, patients, OR personnel, Central Processing, Biomed, Sales Representatives, OR Management, Hospital Administration, and other Stryker employees and partners.
  • Analyze and resolve both routine and non-routine product issues expediently using independent judgment.
  • Adhere to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Communicate OnSite escalations in partnership with appropriate stakeholders and communicate customer needs and complaints to OnSite Leadership and appropriate Endo/cross-divisional representatives.
  • Identify continuing education opportunities and schedule/host in-services as applicable.
  • Attend customer huddles and meetings as invited.
  • Coordinate or delegate equipment management, repairs tracking, and loaner coordination as applicable.
  • Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives within OnSite.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures put forth in the Stryker code of conduct and Stryker Employee Handbook, embodying Stryker's core values and leadership expectations.
  • Obtain and maintain a HSPA Certification as required.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by direct manager.
  • Demonstrate a professional work ethic and attitude at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude required by Stryker and the medical facility.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of operating room or sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to complete and maintain vendor credentialing requirements for all assigned accounts.
  • Ability to understand account standards and effectively communicate to specialists.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the day and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking effectively.
  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies.
  • Must be able to explain and generate detailed guidelines and procedures.
  • The ability to provide support/coverage for your assigned shift but also on other shifts that need additional support.
  • The ability to provide support/coverage at other accounts in other regions, which may include overnight travel.
  • The role requires you to have your own smartphone.
