Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to our regional service teams, ensuring seamless support for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to regional service teams via remote or onsite support.
- Partner with the Global Technical Service team and other departments to bring in service-related requirements and sustain support throughout the system's life cycle.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated problem-solving documentation, validating service documentation and software.
- Nurture positive working relationships with Field Service Engineers, Applications, and other Global Technical Support groups.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field, or comparable training.
- 5-10 years of experience in high-tech service and/or manufacturing, preferably with analytical equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This role requires domestic and international travel (30% of working time after initial training). You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer support.
