About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our engineering team at George Schmitt & Co., Inc. in Guilford, CT.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including providing mechanical system diagnostics and repair support, building and installing machine upgrades and retrofits, and moving equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in hands-on machine repair and possess basic mechanic tools. They must also be proficient in reading CAD drawings, understanding tolerances, and measuring part dimensions. Additionally, they should have a working knowledge of manual machine tools for milling and turning, as well as proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a job shop environment with broad diversity in day-to-day assignments.
