About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering nuclear power plant systems, including preparation and review of modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and engineer nuclear power plant systems, including modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, and engineering analyses
  2. Prepare and review technical specifications, procurement documents, and vendor bid evaluations
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the power industry
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
  • P.E. license beneficial but not required
