Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Kulicke & Soffa. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute software testing plans to meet company-wide development and testing processes
  • Analyze requirements and create manual and automated tests for new features
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software
  • Test products at all levels, including workflow, unit, application, and performance
  • Develop software testing tools and manage test plans in conjunction with release timelines
  • Train and mentor entry-level engineers and break down tasks to support development plans
  • Create metrics to analyze process and product performance
  • Collaborate with other members of the product development team to drive improvement of testing activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or computer engineering/computer science with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Experience in writing code such as C#, Python, or C++
  • Certifications or demonstrated capability for project management to manage software test release plans
  • Strong aptitude for understanding software development, software architecture, and software testing
  • Experience leading software test efforts
  • A thorough and careful approach to work, close attention to details, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with Development, Testing, and Support staff
  • Able to troubleshoot by simplifying complex systems, debugging, and finding root causes
  • Proactive and not afraid to take initiative
