Position Overview
This role is situated within the Taxpayer Services Division, specifically focusing on the operational management of various service centers.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Exercising managerial authority to oversee comprehensive planning, direction, and execution of programs or segments managed through subordinate units.
  • Approving and managing multi-year work plans developed by subordinate managers to enhance goal achievement.
  • Overseeing the revision of long-term plans and objectives for the directed work.
  • Managing policy development in response to changes in appropriations or legislative requirements.
  • Implementing organizational changes and managing major structural adjustments within the program.
  • Exercising discretion in the allocation and distribution of budgetary funds.

Conditions of Employment
This position is subject to a one-year probationary period and requires the completion of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Additionally, candidates must pass a drug test prior to appointment and may be subject to random testing thereafter.

Qualifications
Federal experience is not mandatory; relevant experience in public or private sectors is acceptable. Candidates must possess:
  • One year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to the next lower grade, demonstrating required managerial skills and technical competence.
  • Experience in applying management techniques and principles to achieve program objectives.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Education Requirements
A college degree from an accredited institution is generally required. Transcripts or equivalent documentation may be necessary for positions with specific educational requirements.

Additional Information
This position may involve telework options, subject to eligibility requirements. Selected candidates will be responsible for reporting to their designated location on the agreed start date.
