Job Summary

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager, Corporate Alliances to join our team. This role will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new industry partnerships, managing existing relationships, and developing strategies to increase revenue from industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct prospect research and analyze data to identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue from industry partners
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop collateral and programs tailored to the unique interests of AACR's industry partners
  • Establish an efficient system for prospect research and build a robust prospect pipeline
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify synergies and develop new strategic alliances
Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, sales, and/or executive relationship development
  • General knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the oncology marketplace
  • Conceptual understanding of the drug development and commercialization process
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop benchmarks and short- and long-term tracking metrics for fundraising success
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in biomedical sciences, communications, sales, business, marketing, or another relevant field
  • Experience using fundraising software to track proposals and information related to prospects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
