Key Responsibilities:
Welcoming and Registration:
- Greet patients, visitors, and vendors warmly and professionally.
- Check-in patients, ensuring personal and insurance information is accurate and up-to-date.

Appointment Management:
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Send reminders and follow-up communications regarding appointments.
Communication:
- Promptly answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and faxes.
- Accurately relay messages to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
- Provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process insurance claims and address billing inquiries.
- Collect and document patient payments and co-pays.
Office Environment:
- Ensure the reception area is tidy, organized, and welcoming.
- Manage office supplies and reorder stock as necessary.
Patient Assistance:
- Help patients with forms and documentation.
- Provide updates on wait times and ensure patient comfort during their visit.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience as a receptionist, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Proficient in EMR systems and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
