About the Role

The Strategic Treasury Officer will play a critical role in overseeing interest rate and market sensitivity modeling, liquidity management, budgeting, and strategic planning. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide stress testing framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the bank's growth strategy by providing expert advice on capital markets, interest rate risk management, and liquidity oversight.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting results, including interest rate and market sensitivity modeling, to inform business decisions.
  • Manage daily liquidity and funds management, stress testing, and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review reports for accuracy and reasonableness, and monitor asset liability management, liquidity, and funding policies and thresholds.
  • Prepare, review, and lead all aspects of regular budgeting and forecasting, including commensurate reporting.
  • Process or review results for other internal stress test analysis as required.
  • Develop, document, and maintain guidance and rule interpretations for liquidity-related US regulatory rules and reporting requirements.
  • Support and strengthen the internal liquidity program.
  • Regularly participate in meetings with Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal projects as needed.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in capital markets, interest rate swaps, and derivatives.
  • Management of interest rate risk, modeling, and forecasting cash flows.
  • Liquidity oversight and wholesale funding experience.
  • Financial planning and budgeting, including implementation of related systems.
  • Understanding of Federal Reserve Open Market Actions and their implications on corporate results.
  • Knowledge of bank financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Working knowledge of credit risk and capital and liquidity stress testing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects effectively and independently.
  • General knowledge of the banking industry and related regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of Bloomberg LP system modeling and monitoring.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience at a bank or financial institution.
