Role Overview:
This position entails the assessment and rectification of electrical circuit malfunctions, ensuring compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards. The specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting various vehicle electrical systems, repairing compromised electrical components, and maintaining diagnostic equipment for an automotive manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Provide leadership on-site, including time estimates for repair tasks.
  • Repair or replace defective wiring, connectors, and electrical systems.
  • Install new wiring systems in accordance with OEM specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair immobilizer and alarm systems.
  • Service electrical components of vehicles.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Complete necessary job documentation and reports.
  • Guide and mentor fellow technicians to enhance their understanding of vehicle electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate efficient methods for diagnosing and rectifying electrical system deficiencies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses to pinpoint the origins of vehicle issues.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert, interpreting vehicle electrical schematics.
  • Share insights and lessons learned with team leadership and colleagues.
  • Occasional travel may be required for site work.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical repair within the automotive sector.
  • Advanced understanding of contemporary vehicular electrical systems.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces within vehicles.
  • Proven expertise in automotive systems from a diagnostic perspective.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital multimeters, OEM diagnostic tools, and other relevant diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to interpret engineering-level electrical schematic diagrams.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range:
$40 - $42 per hour
