Position Overview: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of outside sales consultants (Trade Account Managers) in your market. Your key responsibilities include managing the sales process and staff to support the fulfillment of branch objectives, particularly customer satisfaction, market share growth, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management: Hire, train, develop, and evaluate Trade Account Managers to ensure the achievement of branch objectives. Develop reporting tools and metrics to assess performance and anticipate the needs of the sales team and market.
- Personnel Management: Manage the hiring and training process, plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline behaviors, address concerns, and facilitate professional development for trade sales staff.
- General Management: Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring proactive communication and collaboration. Foster integration throughout the organization and contribute to the development of the annual budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, customer service management, or general business experience required, preferably in the building materials, construction, or related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software, OMS-order management system, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Estimated Salary: $125,000 - $165,000 per year.
