About the Role:
The Forest Society of Maine is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. As the chief steward of our organization, you will be responsible for advancing our mission to conserve and protect Maine's forests and natural resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve our conservation goals
- Lead a team of dedicated professionals in the development and implementation of conservation programs
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, partners, and community leaders
- Secure funding and resources to support our conservation efforts
- Represent the organization in a professional and effective manner
Requirements:
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience in a non-profit or conservation organization
- Strong understanding of conservation principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in fundraising and resource development
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000
