Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to join our team at Berry Global. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production facilities, leading a team of employees, and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Personal Safety and Employee Well-being: Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, train, and develop a team of employees to achieve exceptional results, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement process changes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Manage Scheduling and Personnel: Develop and implement scheduling strategies to meet business needs, and manage personnel-related matters, including training and development.
- Enforce Company Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and investigate and resolve any issues or incidents.
- Ensure Correct Setup and Equipment Functionality: Verify that production equipment is properly set up and functioning correctly, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Monitor and Improve Peak Efficiencies: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to optimize peak efficiencies.
- Motivate and Coach Employees: Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees to improve performance and achieve business goals.
- Complete Required Documentation: Accurately complete required documentation, including production records and safety reports.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production operations role.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 35 lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with employees and management.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in printing, thermoforming, and maintenance, as well as experience with data systems and regulatory compliance.
