Position Overview:

The Trailer Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our fleet by performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trailers and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including air brake checks, lighting systems, and welding tasks.
  • Repair and maintain various trailer types and hydraulic systems.
  • Adhere to assigned work schedules and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Actively contribute to workplace safety and health initiatives.
  • Engage in all mandatory company meetings, including weekly safety briefings.
  • Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Adapt to changing job responsibilities as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL B preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • ASE certification is a plus.
  • Experience with road calls and air brake systems.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Must provide own tools.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including:
  • Utilizing hand and power tools with dexterity.
  • Handling objects weighing over 75 pounds regularly.
  • Engaging in activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting.
  • Working primarily outdoors or in a vehicle monitored by GPS.
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including dirt, noise, and weather extremes.
