Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure the quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting, and repairs of avionics and electronic systems.
  2. Training and Development: Train and develop personnel to support company cross-training goals, ensuring a safety-conscious and quality-oriented skilled workforce.
  3. System Testing and Troubleshooting: Demonstrate superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
  4. Installation and Functional Testing: Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  5. Quality and Efficiency: Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes/concepts to provide timely and quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  6. Repair and Replacement: Demonstrate effective repair techniques using acceptable practices, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring, to ensure installations meet conformity.
  7. Engineering Changes and Modifications: Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  8. Test Equipment and Systems: Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  9. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain daily logs and other paperwork, ensuring that all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented.
  10. Pre-Inspection and Quality Control: Pre-inspect work of others prior to submitting to inspection for approval to reduce rework and inspection time.
  11. Company Programs and Regulations: Enforce the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  12. Adaptability and Coordination: Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Additional Requirements
  1. Preferred Proficiency: Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  2. APU and Engine Run Qualification: APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
  3. Blueprint and Schematic Diagrams: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  4. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
